Strider Addon
The strider is a mob introduced in the 20w13b snapshot of Minecraft Java Edition. Often called a "lava boat", it lets players travel across lava lakes with ease.

Story Behind
At the end of March I created the first concept of the Strider Addon for Minecraft Bedrock. It began as a simple prototype without the full functionality of the Java Edition mob. I kept expanding it, and the behavior file eventually grew to more than 400 lines of JSON code. On April 15th, 2020 the official strider was added to the 1.16.0.57 beta of Bedrock, so this concept might still be useful for players who prefer the stable release.
Features
This addon introduces two custom entities: the strider itself and warped fungus. It also includes the food items warped fungus and warped fungus on a stick. Enable experimental gameplay to unlock these items. If experimental gameplay is disabled, you can still control and feed the strider with a carrot and carrot on a stick. Nearly all strider features are implemented—you can saddle it, ride it and control it just like a pig.
The strider hates water and will take damage from it. When killed it drops 1–5 strings, plus the saddle if it was equipped. In lava the strider is happiest: on land it turns gray and shivers, but in lava it appears red. Animations, original sounds, strider babies and translations for all supported languages are included.

Installation
Download Strider Addon.mcaddon, then open the file to import it into Minecraft. After import, enable both the resource and behavior packs for your world. Experimental gameplay is required for all features.
